MANITEX AT CONEXPO 2020

Manitex has been participating in the ConExpo show for over 30 years and in this edition will be showcasing new additions to its family of products.

One of the newest products that attendees will have the chance to look at close-up is the 2485T tractor-mounted boom truck. The 2485T has an 85ft boom with a maximum capacity of 24t. This machine features a 6-section formed boom for added strength and stability.

Another recently released model that will be on display is the TC600. This series features a base rating of 60USt and a maximum main boom height of 141ft and a 194ft maximum height when equipped with an optional jib, expanding the company’s heavy-crane product offerings. The TC600 incorporates a four-section boom and offsetable lattice style jib utilizing high strength steel and components, providing high strength-to-weight ratio for increased capacities at long radius. The TC600 includes a spacious, high-visibility cab and the advanced hydraulics of the Manitex TC line of lift solutions with increased lifting capabilities. It also features a removable counter-weight system and a uniquely designed trapezoid subframe.

Other products from the TC line exhibited will be the new TC500X with removable counterweights as well as the 26101C without-and-down outriggers. The TC500X has a 128’ boom with a max tip height of 190’ with optional jib, as well as the TC500X’s new counterweight system. This system expands the lifting capacity load chart for bigger lifts. The 26101C has a 26USt maximum capacity and a four-section, 101ft proportional boom.

The company will also present models from its MAC articulating crane line, the MAC 38.5 and the MAC 65 knuckle-boom cranes. This line uses cranes from Manitex International’s Italy-based PM brand. The MAC 38.5 (PM 38.5 SP) features new electronics and is available with up to eight hydraulic extensions. The user can select setups with up to five extensions from the range of jibs, with negative 20° angles. The MAC 65 (PM 65SP) is suitable for heavy-duty applications, the set-ups available for the standard crane include up to nine hydraulic extensions, for a maximum horizontal outreach of 21.90m and a maximum vertical outreach of 25.5m. The extent of the outreach increases significantly with the new six-extension jibs.

Oil & Steel is the brand of aerial platforms of the Manitex Group and will present in this edition ConExpo 2020, the A62 model mounted on the Ford RAM 5500 model. It is an aerial platform with a telescopic boom that reaches a maximum working height of 19 meters and a maximum horizontal reach of 12 meters. The A62 model has a maximum load capacity of 250 kg with basket rotation 90 ° + 90 °.The A62 platform differs from competitor products in that it has reduced dimensions and a unique, quick, set up speed. Thanks to its ease of use, the A62 is particularly suitable for overhead and road lighting maintenance as well as sign installation. The “X” pattern outriggers allow the A62 to setup in a single parking space. The advantage of the A62 model, therefore, in addition to the remarkable technical characteristics, is also economic, allowing to considerably reducing working time. Available on a Non-CDL truck for maximum mobility and flexibility. (Non-CDL License, USA market). Compact dimensions, ease to use, quick set up speed and versatility are the main features of the Oil & Steel A62 telescopic aerial platform model.

The Manitex family of products is always evolving and growing. Staying with this tradition, its industrial crane line will be at this year’s show, displaying the M150 down cab RT and the CD110 carry deck. Manitex Valla, Manitex’s premier industrial compact crane line, will be displaying the new V80R and new 25EL electric industrial cranes.
