Many people often associate words like renewal and evolution with straightforward marketing operations. For PM, however, they form part of a specific vision and a practical mission, aimed at overcoming and improving all the characteristics that have made our cranes commercial successes over the years.

From this standpoint, the new PM 100 is one of the main machines to have been significantly revamped in terms of its design, aesthetics and functionality. The system engineering and structure have been changed considerably as a result to make more options available to customers who order this crane, such as the new and important Autofolding and Smart Winch functions.

Restyling was carried out with a particular focus on:

• the structural part, with numerous technical improvements the most important of which was undoubtedly the redesign of the octagonally shaped telescopic arms, which has enabled us to reposition the welded joints on the neutral axis, eliminating tensions and in fact helping to greatly increase the useful lifespan of the machine.
• the introduction of the new electronic system which, in combination with the digital Danfoss distributor in CAN-BUS, allows for more precise management of the crane and great flexibility, with the option of carrying out multiple manoeuvres at the same time. It is now also possible to monitor all the crane diagnostics from a specific panel positioned on board the machine, and therefore intervene quickly as and when necessary. And last but not least, there is an optimised electrical box, the PM Power Box, which acts as the crane/vehicle interface.
• a fresh look at the design of the machine; this is an important milestone that has allowed us to completely redesign the machine casings – both those that protect the distributor on the column and those for the entire lower part, including the distributor of the stabilisers and the crane management/control panel.
